Volunteering at Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park
Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park volunteers are vital members of the Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park team. Our volunteers are involved in many different areas of the Zoo. We currently have vacancies in the Education Team.
Is Volunteering for You?
People volunteer for a variety of reasons: to experience the role of a zookeeper, to further their career aspirations, or as a way to give back to the community. Regardless of your personal motivations, volunteering is a great way to show potential employers that you are dedicated and team-oriented. You will also gain experience with a variety of animals and improve your knowledge and expertise.
At Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park we are committed to providing our customers with a hands-on experience allowing them to interact with unique native wildlife. These interactions are facilitated and encouraged by our friendly and approachable staff and volunteers. Engaging and interacting with customers is a vital skill that all staff and volunteers at the zoo must provide.
We expect the same standards of work, professionalism, and commitment from our volunteers as we do our paid staff.
Why Ranger Red’s Zoo & Conservation Park?

As a Zoo Aquarium Association (ZAA) accredited institution we meet the highest national industry standards. Our expertise and dedication is reflected in our ongoing success in many areas, not least of which is our highly successful breeding program for the critically endangered Tasmanian devil.
